If you’re a regular at the studio, you’ve heard Andrew and I talk a lot about “essential oils”. We aren’t medical professionals so we don’t give advice on essentials oils in an unsolicited way, but we strongly believe in the healing benefits of essential oils and feel like more of you guys should give it a try. So lets talk about them!
As some of you know, neither of us take a single prescription or over the counter medication any more. We used to use ibuprofen and other pain killers. Andrew used to take Claritin for allergies every season. Now, we just don’t! No more Claritin for allergies because his symptoms are gone! No more ibuprofen because we feel great. We haven’t even been sick yet this season!
Don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to it, but despite our warm weather and sun, Arizona is the hardest-hit state in nation by this years’ flu bug. For a stretch of 10 days, the studio had 50% cancellation rate due to illness! Most of those clients that cancelled suffered from lingering symptoms, fatigue, and other symptoms for weeks! Yet somehow, Andrew and I have managed to stay healthy despite all of these sick and/or getting sick people have been high-fiving us, coughing and sneezing around us, and sweating panting in the gym.
We give a lot of credit for this to our use of the essential oils, specifically thieves, oregano, and thyme. These three are major immune boosters, and thieves especially kills germs, bacteria, and viruses that you may come in contact with. We apply them to our body and bottoms of our feet and ingest some by capsule. I also gargled a cup of water with thieves oil when I felt a sore throat coming on a few weeks ago. The next morning I was symptom-free!
We don’t sell the oils and we don’t make any money on them, so there is no incentive for us to push these except that it makes us sad to see so many of you sick for so long. Also, being sick for three weeks really slows your progress towards achieving your fitness goals.
So there they are, just 3 of the many we use, but three great choices to start with if you want to boost your immunity.They are easy to use, last forever, and make a huge difference in your wellness.
